Lumi, the Traffic Light

Once upon a time, in the bustling town of Prishtina, lived a cheerful and adventurous creature named Lumi. Lumi was not an ordinary creature; he was a friendly and spirited traffic light that guided cars, bicycles, and pedestrians safely through the busy streets.

Lumi had a special gift. He could talk to the children who passed by him. Every morning, as the sun peeked over the horizon, Lumi would gleam in vibrant colors, eager to share his wisdom about traffic safety.

One bright morning, as the school bell chimed, a group of curious children gathered around Lumi. There was Ari, a brave and curious boy, Ela, a kind and thoughtful girl, and their friends, Liridon and Sara, filled with energy and excitement.

“Good morning, Lumi!” they chimed in unison.

“Good morning, dear children! Are you ready for an adventure in learning about traffic safety today?” Lumi twinkled in delight.

The children’s eyes sparkled with anticipation.

“Absolutely, Lumi!” Ari exclaimed. “But how do we stay safe while crossing the roads?”

Lumi shone a bright green and began, “Ah, crossing roads is a crucial part of staying safe. Always remember to stop at the edge of the sidewalk, look left, then right, and left again to check for any vehicles. When it’s clear, cross the road, walking—not running—and keep an eye out for cars, even when on pedestrian crossings.”

Ela raised her hand. “What about wearing helmets while riding bicycles?”

Lumi beamed, turning a vivid yellow. “Fantastic question, Ela! Wearing helmets is super important when riding bicycles. It keeps your head safe in case of a fall. And remember, always ride on the correct side of the road, following traffic rules just like cars.”

Liridon had a curious look. “Lumi, what if we’re in a car?”

Lumi glowed a cautious red. “Ah, when riding in a car, buckle up your seatbelt every time, whether in the front or the back seat. Also, always use child safety seats if you’re smaller or younger, and never distract the driver with loud noises or sudden movements.”

Sara nodded eagerly. “Thank you, Lumi! We’ll remember all of this!”

As the day drew to a close, the children bid farewell to Lumi, grateful for the valuable lessons learned.

Week after week, Lumi continued to guide and educate the children about traffic safety. And soon, they became role models for their friends and families, spreading Lumi’s teachings throughout Prishtina and beyond.

With each passing day, the streets became safer, filled with happy children who knew how to stay safe while exploring their town.

And so, in the heart of Prishtina, Lumi, the cheerful and wise traffic light, continued to shine brightly, watching over the children and spreading the importance of traffic safety to everyone who crossed his path.
